Top 5 Things to Do in Cabo: Golf, The Arch, Beaches & More

Planning a trip to Cabo San Lucas or Los Cabos?

Cabo is much more than resorts and margaritas.

You can play golf through the desert overlooking the ocean, take a boat to the famous Arch, spend the day on Médano Beach, snorkel in the Sea of Cortez and finish the day watching the sunset from the water.

Here are 5 things we recommend doing during your Cabo vacation.

1. Play Golf in Cabo

If you're a golfer, Cabo should be near the top of your Mexico golf list.

Few destinations combine golf and scenery quite like Los Cabos.

Expect desert terrain, cactus, mountains, natural arroyos and spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez.

Golf Mexico Tee Times offers a strong selection of Cabo golf courses, including:

  • Cabo Del Sol
  • Cabo Real Golf Club
  • Cabo San Lucas Country Club
  • Club Campestre
  • Palmilla Golf Club
  • Puerto Los Cabos
  • Solmar Golf Links
  • Vidanta Los Cabos

Whether you're looking for one vacation round or planning an entire Cabo golf trip, there's plenty of variety.

Book Your Cabo Golf Before You Arrive

Don't wait until you arrive at your resort to start looking for tee times.

Popular courses and desirable morning tee times can become limited, particularly during Cabo's busy fall, winter and spring travel seasons.

Golf Mexico Tee Times has been helping golfers book Mexico golf for more than 15 years.

Our team can help you compare Cabo golf courses, find available tee times and get your golf organized before your trip.

We can also help with rental clubs if you don't want to bring your golf clubs to Mexico.

Rates are displayed in U.S. dollars, so there's no need to calculate your golf costs in pesos when booking through us.

2. Take a Boat to El Arco

You can't visit Cabo without seeing El Arco — The Arch at Land's End.

The enormous granite rock formation sits at the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez.

The best way to experience it is from the water.

You can take a water taxi, glass-bottom boat, kayak tour, private boat or sunset cruise from the Cabo San Lucas Marina or Médano Beach.

Depending on the trip, you may also see sea lions, marine life and the beaches around Land's End.

If this is your first Cabo vacation, seeing the Arch should be on your list.

3. Spend a Day at Médano Beach

If you want a classic Cabo beach day, head to Médano Beach.

Located close to downtown Cabo San Lucas and the marina, Médano is one of the area's most popular beaches.

It's known for its relatively protected bay setting and easy access to restaurants, beach clubs, bars and water activities.

You can swim, relax on the sand, have lunch overlooking the water or spend the afternoon at one of the beachfront restaurants or clubs.

This isn't the place to go if you're looking for a completely isolated beach.

Médano is where you go when you want some energy.

4. Snorkel or Scuba Dive in the Sea of Cortez

You've seen Cabo from land.

Now get into the water.

The waters around Los Cabos offer opportunities for snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking and paddleboarding.

Depending on where you go, you may see tropical fish, rays, sea lions and other marine life.

If you're willing to travel farther from Cabo San Lucas, Cabo Pulmo National Park is known for its protected marine environment and coral reef.

For a simpler excursion, numerous snorkeling and boat trips depart from Cabo San Lucas.

It's an excellent way to experience the Sea of Cortez rather than spending your entire vacation looking at it from the resort.

5. Go Sportfishing or Take a Sunset Cruise

Cabo is internationally known for sportfishing.

Depending on the season, anglers come to Los Cabos looking for species including marlin, tuna, dorado and other game fish.

You can book anything from a shorter fishing excursion to a full offshore day.

Not interested in fishing?

Take a sunset cruise instead.

Watching the sun drop over the Pacific while cruising past Land's End is one of the easiest ways to finish a Cabo day.

During whale season, you may have another reason to keep your eyes on the water.

Can You Do All Five on One Cabo Vacation?

Absolutely.

If you're staying for a week, you could:

  • Play golf one or two mornings
  • Take a boat to the Arch
  • Spend an afternoon at Médano Beach
  • Go snorkeling or diving
  • Finish another day with fishing or a sunset cruise

And you'll still have plenty of time for restaurants, the pool and doing absolutely nothing.

Don't over-schedule Cabo.

Coming to Cabo? Book Your Golf Before You Travel

You can decide which restaurant to try after you arrive.

You can decide which beach to visit that morning.

But if there's a particular golf course and tee time you want, don't leave your golf until the last minute.

Golf Mexico Tee Times has more than 15 years of experience helping golfers arrange Mexico golf.

Tell us where you're staying, when you want to play, how many golfers you have and whether you need rental clubs.

We'll help you compare your Cabo golf options and get your tee times organized before your trip.
